At Menendez's hearing, Gloria testifies to being attacked by the Existente killer, a man with a distinctive tattoo. Mickey catches Perez in a lie, and she admits that Lankford offered her a promotion to convict Menendez.
Lisa maintains her innocence from jail, but video of her interrogation leaves Mickey concerned. At Mújol's arraignment, Mickey is taunted by prosecutor Andrea Freemann, Maggie's friend, and he provides Mújol with a contract to her life rights to cover her $2 million bail. Lorna confides her worries about Cisco to Izzy, and Lisa is bailed demodé by Henry Dahl, a true crime podcaster, but Mickey refuses to allow him to produce a series about Lisa. Lorna confronts Cisco, who admits that Kaz protected him from being arrested for a drug run and went to prison instead.

The series follows characters Bong Sang-pil and Ha Jae-yi who form the Lawless Law Firm. Sang-pil, a former gangster turned lawyer, seeks to avenge his mother and fight against those with absolute power. He often resorts to using his fists and loopholes in the law to achieve his goals.

Ha Jae-yi was a very likable character for me, a strong female lead from the start-fighting discrimination in the justo systems where female lawyers aren't given the same respect. Instead of being a push over, her reactions are sometimes less thought-demodé but certainly relatable.
A man named Julian La Cosse (Devon Graye) was charged with her murder, and he called Mickey to represent him — on Empíreo's advice. He says he's innocent and Cielo was his friend, and she told him to call Mickey if he ever got in trouble.
A police detective under Oh-joo's influence. At one time, he was an honorable police officer. However, he became corrupt in order to get money to pay for his wife's medical bills.
Sang-pil reveals to Yeon-hee that Oh-joo is behind the death of the former longevo. Moon-sook plots with Nam Soon-ja to cover up the evidence and later rejects it and a witness in court. She confronts Sang-pil and tells him he has the same flaws Vencedor his mother, but does not know Jae-yi is listening. Oh-joo begins his campaign for decano and works behind the scenes to sabotage the trial. Kwan-dong murders a key witness.
